For Coco Martin, the Sinulog Festival is more than just a celebration, it is a powerful moment of unity, prayer, and shared faith.
The actor shared that witnessing thousands of devotees in Cebu praying together to the Sto. Niño, despite their varied backgrounds, deeply moved and inspired him.
“Ramdam mo dito yung tibay ng loob at pananampalataya ng mga Cebuano,” Martin said during his Sinulog weekend visit to Cebu City, noting the people’s resilience and strong faith.
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) aligned Coco Martin’s Next Generation Toyota Tamaraw Roadshow with the Sinulog festivities, held every third weekend of January, to join Cebuano devotees in celebration. As the Tamaraw Next Generation ambassador, Martin proudly travels from city to city, connecting with customers and fans alike.
Cebu City marked his fourth stop, following visits to Cagayan de Oro City, Tacloban City, and Marilao, Batangas, with more locations scheduled in the coming months.
Martin drew parallels between the steadfast faith of the Cebuano people and the durability and reliability of the Next Generation Tamaraw. A devout Catholic, the actor and filmmaker—known for hit television series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and FPJ’s Batang Quiapo—also shared his strong devotion to the Black Nazarene.
On Saturday, he met Toyota Tamaraw customers and members of the local media at the Toyota Mabolo showroom before heading to a major mall, where he entertained crowds with upbeat music, games, and photo opportunities. He even attempted to learn the Sinulog dance steps.
The following day, Martin joined the Sinulog Grand Parade aboard a Next Generation Toyota Tamaraw float, undeterred by intermittent weather as he immersed himself in the festival’s rhythm and energy, much to the delight of spectators.
He offered his prayers to the Sto. Niño and joyfully greeted devotees with a resounding “Pit Señor!”
The Next Generation Tamaraw utility van continues to be a preferred vehicle among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), start-ups, and long-time Tamaraw FX users, thanks to its customizable design, fuel efficiency, and affordability.

Cebu-based businessman Eric Ong recently purchased his second Tamaraw, the FX AT, adding to the drop-side or pickup he already uses for his construction firm, Worldwide Builders.
Ong shared that he specifically waited for the FX with automatic transmission, citing its ease and efficiency compared to manual vehicles. He also noted that the FX is ideal for transporting auto parts for his EGO Taxi fleet, as it offers better security for his cargo. In addition, he emphasized that the Tamaraw FX provides a safe and comfortable ride for passengers.

Marc and Christine Lin bought a Tamaraw FX to serve their restaurant’s delivery needs, saying they were impressed by its solid build and reliability.

Lester Alferez, a coffee industry entrepreneur, described the Tamaraw as “a dependable vehicle capable of handling daily operations in the shop.”
He added, “It’s sturdy, practical, and ideal for the needs of our coffee business.”
